My favorite exercise would have to be squats. Nothing helps me feel stronger than going heavy on squats. Great all around exercise.

Like you, I am usually starving after a good workout, but what about BEFORE the workout?

I try to eat a good meal (for me that is usually lunch), that consists of a lean protein, a healthy carb and a little healthy fat, a good 90 min. before my workout. This time frame gives my body time to digest and ensures that I have the energy needed to sustain a hard workout. Of course after my workout I am starving and need a good snack. I'm usually between lunch and dinner so I don't want to eat to many calories or spoil my dinner.

So what do I choose?
One of the quickest and easist for me is a piece of whole grain bread with 1 tbsp. of either peanut or almond butter. It is filling and has all the elemnts (healthy carb, protein, healthy fat).

Another choice could be a piece of fruit and 1/2 cup low-fat cottage cheese or a low-fat yogurt.

So, what do like you like to eat?
I would love to hear your comments and ideas.
