 Susanna,
I broke my right knee twice in August of 2005. I had to keep my leg completely straight and with no weight on it for 8 weeks after breaking it the second time. I can walk normal but it is very stiff and hurts constantly. Plus I gained 45 lbs because I could do nothing but sit or lie and eat. The day after my first Pilates session with Susanna, my knee felt better than it has since I broke it. No pain at all. And I felt lean and long. Pilates is the best exercise I have ever experienced. There are many things I cannot do as a result of my injury but Susanna modifies the exercise for me and I am still able to get the stretch. I also do not have any stomach muscles as a result of having cancer and reconstruction surgeries. But I can feel my stomach tightening as a result of the correct breathing techniques and using the deep muscles to exercise this area after only 3 classes.

 I am over 50, have some health issues and was NOT exercising regularly. I had tried an “at home” tape and found the directions hard to follow. I am SO glad I signed up for Susanna’s classes. I get the individual attention I need and best of all I get RESULTS. Susanna helps each person adjust
the moves to their fitness level and monitors our progress.

 I signed up for 15 lessons and have almost completed those. Susanna has been very gracious and helpful. She takes the time to explain what you are doing and why then monitors to make sure you have the correct posture for the pose. She also leads us through the correct breathing every time.

 

I recently took a Yoga class and was surprised that I could keep up with the others in the class…and they had been taking lessons for several months.

I have more energy and can last longer in the day. I leave each class refreshed and ready for the rest of my day. I am looking forward to resigning in a few days.
